The Operational Performance & Intelligence Manager will lead the hospital's Management Information Team and play a key role in supporting the Chief Operations Officer, Executive Management Group and Clinical Directorates through the provision of high-quality operational intelligence, performance analysis and strategic insight.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the availability, interpretation and effective use of operational and performance information to support decision-making across the organisation. The role will provide leadership in the areas of operational performance management, service planning, performance reporting, data governance and organisational intelligence, ensuring that hospital leaders have access to timely, accurate and meaningful information to support the delivery of safe, effective and efficient patient care.
Working closely with clinical, operational, digital and corporate teams, the post holder will lead the development of a data-informed culture and support the planning, implementation and evaluation of service developments and organisational improvement initiatives.

1. Operational Performance Management
• Maintain overall responsibility for the provision of accurate and up to date data by Beaumont Hospital both internally and to external bodies Identify emerging operational risks, performance variation and improvement opportunities.
• Lead the production of the hospital's monthly performance report and associated executive reports.
• Coordinate performance reporting for Clinical, Operational & Performance (COP) meetings.
• Monitor organisational performance against local, regional and national KPIs.
• Support escalation and performance review processes through provision of operational intelligence and analysis.
• Provide performance analysis relating to patient flow, scheduled care, unscheduled care, capacity, utilisation and productivity.
2. Strategic Planning and Service Development
• Support the COO and Executive Management Team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of new services and models of care.
• Lead analytical support for business cases, service proposals and strategic developments.
• Undertake demand, activity, capacity and utilisation analysis to support service planning.
• Support implementation and benefits realisation monitoring for major operational initiatives.
• Contribute to development and monitoring of strategic and operational plans.
3. Management Information and Operational Intelligence
• Lead the Management Information Team.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency and integrity of operational performance information.
• Oversee the validation and interpretation of hospital activity and performance data.
• Act as the organisational lead for performance definitions and reporting standards.
• Develop and maintain a framework for data quality assurance and performance governance.
• Work collaboratively with ICT, Digital Health and reporting partners in the development of dashboards, reporting solutions and analytical tools.
• Ensure that the national Hospital Bed Management System (HBMS) is maintained and up to date.
• Ensure management information supports operational and strategic decision-making.
4. Leadership and Stakeholder Management
• Provide effective leadership and management of the Management Information Team.
• Build strong relationships with Clinical Directors, Directorate Managers, Business Managers Nursing Leadership and Corporate Departments.
• Present complex operational information to executive and senior management groups.
• Support organisational capability in the interpretation and use of performance information.
• Promote a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
