BEAUMONT HOSPITAL
Beaumont Hospital, incorporating St. Joseph’s Hospital Raheny, is a large academic teaching hospital 5km north of Dublin City centre. We provide emergency and acute care services across 54 medical specialties to a local community of some 290,000 people. We are the national referral centre for Neurosciences, Renal Transplantation, Cochlear implantation and Mechanical Thrombectomy. In addition, Beaumont Hospital is an OECI-accredited Regional Cancer Centre with regional designation for Otolaryngology and Gastroenterology
St. Joseph's Hospital Raheny operating under the governance of Beaumont Hospital, is an acute hospital that provides both medical and surgical in-patient care, day care, outpatient, outpatient physiotherapy and radiology services. A dedicated Care of the Elderly Rehabilitation Unit and a 100 bedded Raheny Community Nursing Unit have also been developed on the campus.
Beaumont Hospital is the largest Level 4 Academic Teaching Hospitals within the HSE Dublin and North East Region, which includes Connolly Hospital, Rotunda Hospital, Cavan/Monaghan Hospitals, Louth/Meath Hospitals, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Cappagh. We are the principal teaching hospital for our academic partner, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and enjoy close links with Dublin City University, especially in the area of nurse training, and with other academic institutions in respect of training and research.
Beaumont Hospital employs approximately 4,700 staff and has a bed complement of 840 beds. Beaumont Hospital is the principal teaching hospital for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
The HSE Dublin and North East Region includes key national transplant related services. The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital incorporates the National Heart and Lung transplant Programmes, while Beaumont Hospital incorporates the National Kidney Transplant Programme, and the National Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics Service for Solid Organ transplantation (NHISSOT). This post will contribute to Transplant Immunology Services in the region.

Locum Consultant Immunologist (Clinical & Laboratory)
This is a six months only locum appointment under the "Access to Care" initiative to the Dublin and North East Region under the new Public Only Consultants’ Contract 2023 by Beaumont Hospital 37 hours per week.
Applicants must be registered in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Immunology (clinical & laboratory).
